sgamadison selected the five icons I will discuss here, but I had to include a couple of my other favorites as well :D

This is currently my default icon. I fell in love with

pentapus's work from the moment I saw it. I love the tac vest and The Blue Shirt (TM). The colors are beautiful, reminding me of Rodney's gorgeous blue eyes and the blue skies John loves so dearly.
This tiny little image also says so much about Rodney. His passion, his strongwilled determination and also his arrogance :) "Mine!" But behind all that arrogance and bluster is also a man who would do just about everything to save Atlantis and his family.

This is one of my favorite scenes from the later seasons of NCIS. Tony coming to see Gibbs after saying goodbye to his father. There's such an easy routine in this scene. Steaks on the grill, Tony bringing the beer, both men eating it using a pocket knife. As a Tibbs-fan through and through, this scene confirmed the relationship these two have, even if you chose to see it with non-slashy goggles :) Tony realising Gibbs knows everything, or to put it another way; Tony matters to Gibbs and he's paying attention. As for the icon itself, it's gorgeous. I love what

iwantpie did here. I don't know the terms, I just know I love the result :)

danceswithgary is one of my favorite artists and writers. I'm in love with her icons and keep rereading her stories:) Her Screen Saver verse is one of my go to fics when I need to be cheered up. This one caught my eye as soon as I saw it. The composition is brilliant, and I love what she did with the coloring and the effects (hey, I told you I don't know the lingo, okay!!) Vegas is one of my favorite episode and this captures the mood so well.

velvet_diamonds's icons. She has a brilliant sense of humor and her icons are so beautiful. As soon as I saw this, I just had to have it. It's a perfect icon for when you're feeling fabulous, and when you're not :)

AH, what can I say?

chkc is a genius! I'm in awe of her work. She manages to tell an entire story in this little square. When I look at this icon, I always imagine Rodney pulling an all-nighter, furiously typing away on his list for why floppy-haired Colonels should date Canadian scientists with double PhDs :)

trillingstar and is another favorite of mine. Whenever I look at it I imagine John in a different situation. I find the expression on his face so intriguing, I always wonder what he's doing, where he is. And guh...those lips...! Very kissable!

bluespirit_star made this for me \o/ As you may know, I'm a teacher and the caption she added is just perfect :) I have many icons by blue and I love how she portrays both John and Rodney and Steve and Danny, both in art and fiction.
